With over 18 years of dedication to the field of education, Rebecca has devoted her career to nurturing and empowering others. Her academic journey began at Seton Hall University, followed by a Master’s degree from Georgian Court University. A few years ago Rebecca elected to have surgery which eventually required a revision surgery. Her recovery experiences after both surgeries were dramatically different. Neil, Rebecca’s husband, cared for her after her first surgery and did the best he could for someone with no background in postoperative care. It was evident that Neil was not adept at handling the constant attention and assistance that someone needs after major surgery- the care one needs after a major surgery is work for the person attending to them. And if someone isn’t familiar with this type of care, there can be a great deal of stress and anxiety put on everyone. The first 24-48 hours are critical in monitoring and managing pain, vitals, mobility, medication, drainage, infection, and overall comfort. For the revision surgery, Rebecca and Neil opted to hire a professional registered nurse recommended by their doctor, and Rebecca’s recovery was immediately better. The attentive, personalized, pampered care by a licensed clinician was incredibly comforting, relaxing, and in a word, wonderful! Her experience was her inspiration to start Nurse Concierge, a service dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive, spa-quality, professional postoperative care. If you’re having surgery, she wants her positive experience while recovering to be everyone’s positive experience as they recover.
